2026 Juried Art Show & Sale

4. Artwork must be original and created solely by the submitting artist.

5. Copies, reproductions, derivative works, AI-generated artwork, and artwork that infringes the copyright or intellectual property rights of another person will not be accepted.

6. By submitting artwork, the artist certifies that:

• The artwork is original;
• They are the sole copyright holder of the artwork; and
• All information provided in the submission is accurate.

7. Artwork must have been completed within the past 18 months.

8. Artwork must not have been previously exhibited at the Art Gallery of Georgina or accepted into a previous Art Gallery of Georgina juried exhibition.

9. Accepted media include two-dimensional artwork and small-scale three-dimensional sculpture, ceramics, and pottery weighing less than 10 pounds.

10. The following will not be accepted:

• AI-generated artwork
• Video works
• Electronic or digital installations
• Virtual reality works
• Interactive works
• Artwork requiring technological equipment for display

11. Artists may submit a maximum of two artworks.

12. Size restrictions are as follows:

• One artwork may be up to 48 inches wide by 48 inches high, including frame.
• A second artwork may be up to 36 inches wide by 48 inches high, including frame.

13. Every entry must be exhibition ready. All accepted artwork must be fully dry, professionally finished, and ready for installation upon delivery.

This ensures pieces can be safely installed by gallery staff without needing alterations, drying time, or special construction.

Two-dimensional works must be securely wired with braided picture wire (no sawtooth hangers).

Works on canvas must have finished or painted edges and a minimum depth of 1.5 inches.

Works on paper must be framed and matted under glass or plexiglass.

Three-dimensional works must include all necessary stable supports or specialized plinths.

The organizing committee reserves the right to decline any piece that does not meet these standards.

Framed artwork must be fitted with secure hanging hardware and wire.

14. Artwork may be designated as For Sale or Not For Sale (NFS) at the time of entry.

The sales status and price must be clearly indicated on the entry form and the artwork's identification label.

If the artist does not wish for an artwork to be available for purchase, the work must be clearly designated as "Not For Sale" (NFS) on the entry form and the artwork label.

NFS items cannot be changed to "For Sale" once the jury process has concluded.

15. A non-refundable entry fee is required at the time of submission:

• $40.00 for one artwork
• $50.00 for two artworks

16. The online submission must include:

• Up to two images of each artwork submitted (JPEG, PNG, or PDF format); and
• A 100 to 150-word artist statement explaining how the artwork relates to the exhibition theme.

17. Jurying will take place in two stages:

Round One: Digital review of submitted images and artist statements.

Round Two: In-person review of selected artworks at the Gallery.

18. Artists selected for Round Two will be notified by email and invited to deliver their artwork to the Gallery for final jury review.

19. Artists not selected following Round Two will be notified and asked to collect their artwork.

20. Award recipients will be selected by the jury. Winners will be announced at the exhibition opening at the Art Gallery of Georgina on August 15, 2026.

21. Submitted artwork must accurately match the images provided during the application process.

22. The Gallery and jury reserve the right to reject any artwork that:

• Does not comply with these Terms and Conditions of Entry;
• Differs materially from the submitted images;
• Arrives damaged;
• Is not exhibition-ready; or
• Is otherwise unsuitable for exhibition

23. All accepted artwork must have a label securely attached to the back identifying the artist, title, medium, and sale price.

A duplicate label must be attached to the front upper right corner of the artwork at the time of delivery.

24. The Art Gallery of Georgina reserves the right to install, display, and curate all accepted artwork.

25. No artwork may be removed during the exhibition without prior approval from the Gallery.

26. Sold artwork must remain on display until the close of the exhibition unless otherwise authorized by the Gallery.

27. The Art Gallery of Georgina retains a commission of 30% on all sales.

Artists will receive the balance of the sale proceeds.

28. By entering, artists grant the Art Gallery of Georgina permission to photograph submitted artwork for promotional, educational, archival, and publicity purposes, including use in exhibition materials, publications, websites, newsletters, and social media.

29. While every reasonable precaution will be taken in the handling and display of artwork, the Art Gallery of Georgina is not responsible for loss or damage.

Artists are encouraged to maintain their own insurance coverage.

30. The Art Gallery of Georgina reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions of Entry.

31. Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Entry.

The exhibition is open to artists aged 18 years and older.

Current employees, board members, jurors, and immediate family members of jurors are not eligible to enter.

Artists may submit a maximum of two artworks.

The Gallery remains committed to keeping fees affordable while ensuring a high-quality exhibition experience for participating artists.

The exhibition uses a two-stage jury process.

Round One: Jurors review digital images and artist statements.

Round Two: Selected artists are invited to bring their artwork to the Gallery for final jury review.

Artists selected for Round Two will be notified by email following the first stage of jurying.
