A Cultural

Home for

Georgina

The Art Gallery of Georgina is where Georgina’s artistic heritage lives, grows and is shared — through a permanent collection rooted in Albert Chiarandini and a year-round program of exhibitions, learning and community engagement.

The Art Gallery of Georgina is a registered charitable organization and public art gallery in Sutton West, Ontario.

We steward a significant permanent collection featuring Albert Chiarandini and other Canadian artists, and present exhibitions, programs and cultural experiences that enrich community life. We are a welcoming cultural home where visitors of all ages can encounter art, learn together and connect with the stories that shape our region.

The Art Gallery of Georgina is more than a place to look at art. We are a cultural institution that preserves the region’s artistic heritage, supports living artists, and creates meaningful experiences for our community through exhibitions, programs and the long-term care of our permanent collection.

What Is an Art Gallery?

An art gallery is a public space where artworks are presented, interpreted and shared with audiences.

Galleries exist to:

  • introduce visitors to new ideas through visual art
  • support creative communities
  • present rotating exhibitions
  • offer opportunities for learning, reflection and cultural connection

A gallery’s primary focus is engagement — the exchange between art and people.
